Vikings Valhalla, a spin-off of History Channel’s Vikings, was announced in 2019. After that, a lot about the show has been revealed, from the cast to the first tease about what to expect. Now, Netflix released the first trailer.
Netflix introduced some of the prominent players you’ll meet in the show, including Leif Eriksson and his brother Freydis Eriksdotter. The look at the series also displayed just how brutal and violent Valhalla is going to be, but also how awesome in scale the series is–much like its predecessor.
Vikings Valhalla is set over 100 years after History’s Vikings, so don’t expect to see many familiar faces from the long-running series. After all, they’re all likely dead. However, the new show will focus on some of the greatest Vikings from the historical record. Still, Vikings creator Michael Hirst is involved in the series as an executive producer, alongside Jeb Stuart, Morgan O’Sullivan, James Flynn, Sherry Marsh, Alan Gasmer, Sheila Hockin, and John Weber.
