Shankar also talked to Collider, and told them that Castlevania “has a Game of Thrones vibe to it.” He’s already seen the series and says that it’s “fucking amazing.”

Here’s the synopsis:

Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Shankar goes on to reveal that there are currently two seasons ready to go and that both of those seasons were written by comic writer Warren Ellis (Thunderbolts, Wolfskin, Red, Fell, Iron Man). Season one will air in 2017, and season two is coming in 2018.
