Check out this awesome-looking new historical war series coming to Netflix, it is called Barbarians and the first trailer is here and it looks epic.
Barbarians is set during the bloody battle of the Teutoburg Forest in 9 A.D. It’s explained that “the fates of three lives are connected to each other when the Germanic tribes attempted to halt the spread of the Roman Empire.”
The German-language series was created by Arne Nolting, Jan-Martin Scharf and Andreas Heckmann. It is being helmed by Vikings director Steve Saint Ledger with Barbara Eder and the ensemble cast includes David Schütter (Charlie’s Angels), Laurence Rupp (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) and Bernhard Schütz (Sense8).
Barbarians will be streaming on Netflix on October 23.
