Netflix revealed recently that they are developing a Jurassic World animated spinoff series called Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous with DreamWorks Animation. And now have a teaser trailer that gives us our first look at what we can expect from the upcoming Dino show.
The teaser doesn’t really get into the story of the show, we do get a look at the kind of animation we should be expecting from the show, and it looks top notch! I’m glad to see that the animation will have a greater quality to it than many of the shows we are seeing these days on the telly.
The series will be set in the very universe and timeline as the two Jurassic World movies.
Check out the synopsis:
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable to reach the outside world, they’ll need to go from strangers to friends to family if they’re going to survive.
Steven Spielberg is producing the series along with Frank Marshall, and Scott Kreamer (Pinky Malinky) and Lane Lueras (Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny) serve as showrunners.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is set to premiere sometime in 2020.
