Warner Bros. has recently dropped a brand-new full trailer for their upcoming DC Studios movie, The Flash, and the hype surrounding this movie has been building up for quite some time. James Gunn, director of The Suicide Squad, has called it “one of the great superhero movies ever made,” while Tom Cruise has also expressed his excitement and love for the movie.
Directed by Andy Muschietti, The Flash promises to be an epic superhero movie that DC fans are sure to enjoy. The movie stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allan, also known as The Flash, and he’s joined by none other than Michael Keaton, who is back as Batman. Together, they will team up in the movie, with Sasha Calle playing the role of Supergirl, making an exciting addition to the cast.
Although there has been some controversy and drama surrounding the production of this movie, if you look past all of that, judging from what we’ve seen so far, it looks like it’s going to be a thrilling ride for superhero fans!
According to the official logline, “Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?”
The Flash also stars Ben Affleck as Batman, and Michael Shannon as Zod, with Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdú playing the roles of Barry’s parents. Additionally, Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls) and internet personality Rudy Mancuso will also appear in the movie.
DC fans won’t have to wait too long for The Flash, as it’s set to hit theaters on June 23rd, 2023. So, grab some popcorn, watch the trailer, and let us know what you think!
