Warner Bros. has released a new TV spot for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming Quantum Cold War action spy thriller Tenet. The trailer gives us the best look at the new time-bending footage. One of the more exciting parts in the spot features one of the characters, played by Clémence Poésy saying, “It’s inverted. Someone’s making them in the future.” I have no idea what that even means, but I’m super excited!
In a recent interview with Esquire, Nolan talked about the action in the film saying, “The film has more action than any film I’ve ever done. It has a plethora of action sequences that [John David Washington took] the lead-in. So he gets to do all kinds of various things. That athleticism also puts itself into the way he walks down the street and the way he talks and the way he moves.”
Tenet has been described as a “mind-blowing espionage thriller so unique that viewers will puzzle over its complexities for years to come.” It’s also said to be a “time-bending masterpiece” about a Quantum Cold War. This is the new synopsis for the movie that was released:
Armed with only one word – Tenet – and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion.
The movie stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh.
Tenet will hit theaters on July 17th.
