Next American Horror Story Season Will Be Based on 2016 Election

It’s just announced that the next American Horror Story‘s seventh season will be based on the current events. Creator and producer Ryan Murphy just revealed the theme during a guest spot on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. According to Murphy, season seven of the show will be based on the 2016 election cycle. Next season will be terrifying then.

Replied to the question about the American Horror Story news, Murphy replied, “Well, I don’t have a title, but the season we begin shooting in June is going to be about the election that we just went through. So, I think that will be interesting for a lot of people.” Cohen asked if there would “be, like a Trump in it,” Murphy responded, “Uh, maybe.”

American Horror Story was renewed for two more seasons back in January.
