Nike’s Air Jordan Documentary Explains How It Changed The World!  

Do you remember when Nike released the Air Jordan show in the 80s? I was a huge fan of Michael Jordan and I always wanted a pair but never had because we couldn’t afford them back then, I still can’t afford the self tieing Back To The Future inspired Nike shoe. I especially loved the color combo of red and black and went to mall many times just to look at them.

I just wanted to join the Air Jordan club and didn’t knew how big of an impact it has on society! These shoes helped lead the charge of a new cultural revolution. It bled into multiple aspects of pop culture like fashion, sports, music, and more.

Today we have a new documentary that’s been made called Unbanned: The Legend of AJ1 and it digs into the deep story behind the shoe and it’s influence on society. The movie features interviews with Michael Jordan, Michael B. Jordan, Anthony Anderson, DJ Khaled, Spike Lee, Lena Waithe, and many more.

The documentary was written and directed by Dexton Deboree and it will come out on July 13th.
