The Nun will be released this week in theaters and I couldn’t be more excited and haunted! I’ve been hearing very good things about this movie. I’m a sucker for horror films and this one is probably going to scare the shit out of audiences, I am going to take my pillow with me.
The first clip features Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene being pursued by Bonnie Aarons’ Nun. The second clip shows Demian Bichir‘s Father Burke being hunted by a terrifying cult of faceless nuns. The final clip is intense as it stars Farminga as she is instructed to “keep praying…no matter what happens” but things don’t turn out too well.
James Wan is producing the film and it’s being directed by Corin Hardy who previously made the Irish fantasy horror film The Hallow. The script was written by Gary Dauberman who also wrote the latest film adaptation of IT.
When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in The Conjuring 2, as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.
The Nun also stars Jonas Bloquet (Elle) as local villager Frenchie, Charlotte Hope(Game of Thrones) as the abbey’s Sister Victoria, Ingrid Bisu (Toni Erdmann) as Sister Oana, and Bonnie Aarons, reprising her Conjuring 2 role as The Nun.
The Nun will hit theaters on September 7, 2018.
