What happened in Paris was brutal and the way Paris reacted is epic. Thousands of demonstrators gathered at the Place de la Republique in Paris (and numerous locations around the country) to pay their respects for the victims of the terrorist attack earlier today.

According to the BBC, three gunmen shot dead 12 people at the Paris office of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. Eight journalists, including the magazine’s editor, and two policemen were among the dead. The attack is the deadliest in France since 1961. Eleven other people were wounded in the attack, four of them seriously. [source]
