Disney has released a new fabulous trailer for Pixar’s upcoming fantasy adventure comedy Onward. The trailer is packed with new footage and also gives a bigger look at the story.
The story is placed in a suburban fantasy world, and it adds two teenage elf brothers who start on an extraordinary journey to discover if there is still some magic left in the world. The adventure they set out on is about finding a stone to finish a spell that they started that will enable them to bring their dad back, who passed away so that they can see him again. As you’ll see in the trailer, the first time they try the spell they only lead to bring the bottom half of their dad back, just the legs. He ends up going on the trip in cover with his sons who have 24 hours to finish the spell to get the rest of him back.
The voice cast features Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer.
The movie comes from director Dan Scanlon (Monsters University), and when previously talking about the movie, he explained that the story was inspired by his own relationship with his brother. He said:
“In the film, we’re going to tell the story of two teenage elf brothers whose father died when they were too young to remember him. But thanks to the little magic still left in the world, the boys embark on a quest that will allow them a chance to spend one last magical day with their father.”
Onward will hit theaters on March 6th, 2020.
