PlayStation Plus Free Games For May 2023 Revealed

PlayStation Plus subscribers are in for a treat in May 2023, as Sony has confirmed the next batch of free games that will be available to all three tiers of PS Plus membership. Starting May 2, PS Plus members will be able to claim three new games: Grid Legends, Chivalry 2, and Descenders.

For fans of racing games, Grid Legends is a must-play. Released just last year, this latest installment from Codemasters is the fifth in the Grid franchise and features a cinematic story mode, cross-platform multiplayer for up to 22 players, and a creation suite that allows players to create their own tracks. Grid Legends is a hybrid arcade-simulation racer with customizable settings that can be enjoyed by both diehard racing fans and casual players alike. Both the PS5 and PS4 versions of the game will be available to PS Plus subscribers.

Extreme sports enthusiasts will also have something to look forward to with Descenders. This downhill cycling game is all about speed, as players are tasked with biking fast down procedurally generated tracks that keep things fresh. The game features a unique roguelike system that allows players to upgrade and customize their bikes with special permutations. Descenders is a fun game that can be played solo or with friends online, and its unique style is easy to get into but requires time and practice to master.

Chivalry 2 is a completely different type of multiplayer game, set in a medieval world where players take on the role of warriors battling it out across massive battlefields with up to 64 players. Played from a first-person perspective, Chivalry 2 is a fast-paced and bloody game that offers more than 30 different weapons, a diverse class and subclass system, and even mounts that players can ride into battle.

As a reminder, PS Plus subscribers should make sure to claim April’s free games before May 2, when they will be replaced with the new batch of free games. So mark your calendars and get ready to play some amazing new games for free on your PlayStation console.
