POKEMON UNITE Outlines Plans for First Anniversary This Week

This week Pokémon Unite celebrates its first birthday. The famous MOBA game from The Pokémon Company International and TiMi Studio Group turns one on July 21. To celebrate, fans can get up to 5 Unite licenses and Holowear just by logging in. If you log in for 5 consecutive days between July 21 at 12 AM PDT and October 12 at 4:59 PM PDT, you can get the following things:

• Day 1: Pikachu + Fashionable Style: Pikachu

• Day 2: Lucario + Concert Style: Lucario

• Day 3: Blastoise + Firefighter Style: Blastoise

• Day 4: Snorlax + Bedtime Style: Snorlax

• Day 5: Sylveon + Checkered Style: Sylveon

In addition, three new Unite licenses were announced for addition soon with the tease of three more being unveiled in September.

• Thursday, July 21: Glaceon

• Wednesday, August 3: Buzzwole

• Monday, August 15: Tyranitar

Of course, that’s not all that’s planned. Between July 21 at 12 AM PDT and September 1 at 4:49 PM PDT, players can enjoy the Anniversary Cake Challenge. When you log in, battle, and complete missions you’ll get frosting which can be used to complete the anniversary cake and get various rewards. In addition, from July 21 at 12 AM PDT through August 14 at 4:%9 PM PDT will be the Icy Glaceon Challenge which will let players get Glaceon through the special mission challenge. In addition to all of this, Pokémon Boost Emblems are being added to the item pool of possible energy rewards.

But wait, there’s more. For a limited time (listed below) Pokémon Unite will have its first PvE-style battle event with Boss Rush. Here, players will team up to take down Boss Pokémon that spawn one after another and the higher your team’s score, the better the rewards you’ll receive.

• Period 1: Thursday, July 21, 2022 – Sunday, July 24, 2022

• Period 2: Sunday, July 31, 2022 – Sunday, August 7, 2022

• Period 3: Sunday, August 14, 2022 – Sunday, August 21, 2022

There’s also the Invite-a-Friend Campaign that can give you and your friends rewards if they use your invite between July 21 at 12 AM PDT and August 11 at 4:59 PM PDT. The inviter can get Holowear tickets, energy boost tanks, and more while the invite can get Bonfire Style: Slowbro if they win “a certain number of ranked matches.”

In addition, if you haven’t played for over 14 days, you can log in and get a variety of rewards by jumping back in and playing between July 21 at 12 AM PDT and August 4 at 4:59 PM PDT.
