Fox has been trying to bring us a post-apocalyptic version of Zorro for years. Things are finally picking up speed because Lantica Media and Sobini Films have partnered up and are ready to make it happen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two studios are going to finance the film together and they plan to film in March of next year.
Mark Armin, CEO of Sobini Films, is very excited to get this film underway:
“This has been a fifteen year journey filled with ups and downs but it has remained my passion project over the years.”
Lantica Media CEO, Antonio Gennari, had this to say:
“Every generation has its own Zorro hero and we’re proud to be able to introduce a new Zorro to this generation.”
These days every studio is rebooting everything from long gone characters to the characters we have never even heard before. TV to movies we are seeing superheroes everywhere. Some of these shows like Gotham and Dare Devil is a good watch but having a Supergirl as a new show. I am not that excited about. Which characters you want to see set in different time zone or in different setting, say it in the comments below.
