Going to Comic Con as a first time attendee can sometimes be a daunting prospect. You know you’re going to be surrounded by die-hard comic fans who have been attending Comic Con for many years, however it is important that this doesn’t put you off. In 2017, Comic Con will be in Vegas on June 23rd-25th and this is the perfect time to head to your very first Comic Con. One of the easiest ways to do this is to prepare for what you want out of Comic Con before you go, so you know whether to head to the panels, whether you want to get certain items on the floor or just to take it all in. Las Vegas is the perfect location to head to a Comic Con and with some of the best creators in the world, extensive programming, an international artist alley, plenty of special guests and the Wizards of Cosplay all making an appearance this year, we’re expecting some fantastic things for next year. We’ve put together a list of how to prepare for Comic Con.
Know That You’ll Be Running Around, A Lot
One of the most important things to ensure that you are fully prepared, is knowing that you’re going to be running around, all day, for the entirety of the convention. Making sure that your outfit is perfect is a priority of course, but making sure that what you’re wearing is comfortable is important. There’s going to be a lot of people at the convention, and you’re going to be walking and standing for hours and hours. On top of this, you need to understand that there’s going to be lots of stuff to see and lots of places to go at Comic Con, so ensuring that you have the right attitude will make sure that you’re not heartbroken when you miss one of the million cool things that are going to be happening there.
Know What To Do Between The Convention
While you’re more than likely going to be tired from all of the running around you’re going to be doing at Comic Con, if you’re in Vegas then you need to make sure that you really are making your Vegas experience totally authentic. To do this, head to one of the many casinos on a night out. Practicing your Texas Hold’em poker strategy before you go will help make sure that you are one step ahead of the game before you hit a casino, and whether you go in your outfit or not you can be sure that you will be treated the same as everybody else when you’re there. If luck is on your side then you may even get to walk out of there a winner!
Make Sure That You’re Prepared For The Lines
One thing that you will not be able to avoid at Comic Con is that there are going be lots of queues. For everything. If you’re just a casual fan you may want to get there a little later than when the doors open, as this is when the hardcore fans will be rushing in to get the toy exclusives and see the best panels. On top of this, you need to embrace the fact that there are a going to be a lot of people there every single day, so if you want to go you’re just going to have to get used to.
