Quentin Tarantino’s Last Movie Will Be STAR TREK

Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino tease his retirement from filmmaking all the time. A couple of weeks ago he teased that Once Upon and Time in Hollywood could be his last film to direct and now he’s saying that the R-rated Star Trek movie he’s been developing might be his last movie.

During an interview with CinemaBlend, the director said, “If I was going to do Star Trek, I should commit to it. It’s my last movie. There should be nothing left-handed about it.” The director then has taken back his words and added, “I don’t know if I’m going to do that, but that might happen.”

Tarantino has been saying for years that he does not want to direct more than 10 movies in his career. He wants to retire after that tenth movie, now it will be Star Trek, maybe it’ll be another movie. Who knows but I’m happy with the news, I like his movies, maybe Tarantino won’t retire at all and keep going on making movies! It just seems like the guy love making movies too much to retire ever.

He’s even already trying to throw in a loophole for his retirement plans:

“I guess I do have a loophole, [if] the idea was to throw a loophole into it. Which would be [to go], ‘Uhhh, I guess Star Trek doesn’t count. I can do Star Trek … but naturally I would end on an original.’” Tarantino then added: “But the idea of doing 10 isn’t to come up with a loophole.”

Tarantino’s ninth movie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which will be released on July 26th.
