Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 got one of the biggest opening weekend in gaming history as the game made $725 million copies in just three days. It is worth noting that Red Dead 2’s opening sales are just the second-highest grossing game launch, which is still held by Grand Theft Auto V, which is also a game from Rockstar Games.
Rockstar Games did not reveal the exact number of copies they sold on the weekend, but it is calculated that the studio was able to push more than 10 million games. Moreover, Red Dead Redemption 2 has broken records for the PlayStation as the game have the highest launch sales on the PlayStation Network and it also got the record for the most pre-ordered game of all time on the Sony platform.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
