Ryan Reynolds Walks Out From Interview When Asked About Starring In Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds

Adorable, goofy, and playfully crass actor Ryan Reynolds is making ripples on the internet once again. This time because he did a funny stint with fellow actor Taika Waititi at the New York Comic-Con while promoting their latest movie Free Guy.

Reynolds and Waititi frequently denied having ever worked with each other on Green Lantern in the past and left the moment their colleagues pushed them further.

Just like Reynolds and Waititi are showing that it doesn’t exist, Green Lantern is a superhero movie that most of the geek community would simply love to forget about it completely. It was one of the huge let-downs for superhero fans ever and was a commercial disaster for DC.

Green Lantern as a superhero is a powerful defender of all that is true and good in the multiverse. Others think that the hero is awesome, but that the movie was simply bad. While still others think he’s just a guy with a green lantern and prefers someone like Batman.

Green Lantern, released in the summer of 2011, received generally negative reviews. Most critics bombarded the film with negative reviews due to its screenplay, inconsistent tone, choice and portrayal of villains, and its use of CGI. The movie was a financial flop at the box office: it grossed 219 million dollars, but took 200 million dollars to produce.
