Screen Daily reports that the Borat and The Dictator star will headline the Klown remake, based on the 2010 Danish film.
Back in 2012 Danny McBride was set to remake Klown with Todd Phillips producing. The plot of that version, in similar fashion to the Danish one, would have seen McBride as a man who winds up forced to bring along the 13-year-old son of his girlfriend on a bachelor party-style canoeing trip with his best friend. Debauchery ensues. A Los Angeles-set Danish sequel titled Klown Forever released last year featured Cohen’s wife Isla Fisher.
