Sacha Baron Cohen, who most recently starred in The Dictator, is set to develop a new fact-based movie for Paramount Pictures called The Lesbian.
According to Deadline, the movie is inspired by the true story of Cecil Chao, a Hong Kong billionaire who offered $65 million to any man who succeeded in marrying his lesbian daughter. I haven’t heard about this, but apparently, it made international headlines last week following reports that his daughter had a French church bless her relationship with her longtime girlfriend.
As of right now, Cohen will produce the movie through his Four By Two Films production company. He might end up starring in the film as well as the billionaire. They have yet to put together a team of talent to bring it to life, but it definitely seems like the perfect type of film project for Cohen to take on. It easily fits his style of humor.
