Samsung just made it more comfortable to get into video games right from your Smart TVs. The team recently revealed that they are officially releasing the Samsung Gaming Hub to all 2022 Samsung Smart TVs and Smart Monitors. Gaming Hub is an all-in-one game streaming platform that lets you use your favorite services. As of right now, supported platforms include Google Stadia, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Utomik, and Xbox with Amazon Luna coming soon. This is designed to be an easy way to access everything you need and get gaming quickly.
Samsung’s President, Won-Jin said:
The Samsung Gaming Hub combines Samsung’s leadership in streaming technology with our experience in creating the industry’s most cutting-edge hardware, removing the barriers to entry so people can just play. With expanding partnerships across leading game streaming services and expert curated recommendations, players will be able to easily browse and discover games from the widest selection available, regardless of platform.
Samsung Gaming Hub is powered by Tizen and lets you use your favorite accessories like Bluetooth headsets and controllers so you don’t have to go out and buy any new hardware. The Gaming Hub will also offer “expertly curated suggestions based on the new and most popular games.” The real test will be to see if they’re actual recommendations or streaming service recommendations. Through the Gaming Hub, music and streaming services are also integrated to deliver easy connections to Spotify, Twitch, and YouTube and stay on top of the latest gaming news and tutorials.
Samsung is also priding itself on the progressive motion enhancements and latency-reducing technology that’s included in the new Smart TV and Monitor lineups. These gadgets claim more rapid decoding and optimized buffer controls to lower input lag by more than 30% on average compared to earlier models. Also, the new AI upscaling tech from Samsung claims to “optimize game graphics” for a wonderful experience.
