SCREAM VI Trailer Sees Ghostface on a Killing Spree in New York City

SCREAM VI

Scream VI full trailer has dropped, and this next movie is going to take fans on a very different journey in the franchise. While Ghostface looks familiar, this trailer makes it very obvious that they’ve never faced a version of Ghostface like this before. This a very new type of killer that they’re dealing with who has an obsession with the different killers who came before. The killer even has a shrine to the history of Ghostface, featuring different costumes and props.

The next chapter of the horror saga “continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.” They try to start this new chapter of their lives in New York City, and well… things don’t really go very well for them as Ghostface is back in action and on a killing rampage in the city.

Courteney Cox, who will come back as Gale Weathers, previously talked about the new location of the franchise saying: “Bringing Ghostface to New York adds an entirely new element to the story. Taking the character out of a small town and putting them in the heart of the city that never sleeps is more terrifying than ever.”

Melissa Barrera, who plays Sam added: “These kids are running away, and Ghostface is still finding them in the most beautiful city but also the most terrifying because it’s so crowded and it can be aggressive.”

The cast also contains Jenna Ortega as Tara Carpenter, Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy, Mason Gooding as Chad, Samara Weaving, Liana Liberato, Hayden Panettiere as Kirby, and Dermot Mulroney. Courteney Cox also previously confirmed her involvement. Some newcomers include actor Dermot Mulroney and Mission: Impossible star Henry Czerny, plus Jack Champion (Avengers: Endgame, Avatar: The Way of Water), Liana Liberato (Light as a Feather), Devyn Nekoda, and Josh Segarra.

Scream VI will be bringing Ghostface back to theaters on March 10, 2023.
