Nickelodeon is working on a new CG-animated reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Seth Rogen is attached to the project with his long-time producing partner Evan Goldberg.
It’s going to be exciting to see what Rogen has designed for the project, but he recently shared a teaser picture for the fans. The image is of a crumpled piece of paper with doodles and some notes about the project.
The note comes from Leonardo, and in the upper right corner, the release date of the movie was revealed. The release date of the movie is August 11th, 2023. The other notes on the paper touch on various types of mutation, the value of discipline, honor, and loyalty, a note to apologize to April, and more.

In a previous interview, Rogen said about what they want to do with this new TMNT movie and how it will be different from the other iterations we’ve seen. He explains that this new movie will lean more towards a teenage coming-of-age story:
“As a lifelong fan of Ninja Turtles, weirdly the ‘Teenage’ part of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was always the part that stuck out to me the most. And as someone who loves teenage movies, and who’s made a lot of teenage movies, and who literally got their start in their entire profession by writing a teenage movie, the idea of kind of honing in on that element was really exciting to us. I mean, not disregarding the rest, but really using that as kind of a jumping off point for the film.”
