SHORT CIRCUIT Remake is in The Works

Spyglass Media Group is going ahead with a remake of the classic and iconic 1986 movie Short Circut. They’ve chosen the writing team of Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shuman to write the script, which will put a Latinx spin on the story.

The original movie was based on Number 5, an experimental military robot that is hit by lightning and gains intelligence. It’s a classic movie that was a super hit back in the 80s. It was directed by John Badham and starred Ally Sheedy, Steve Guttenberg, and Fisher Stevens.

I think this remake will tell a very familiar story as the original movie but it will feature a Latinx family.
