Shudder’s Slasher Horror Anthology Series SLASHER: RIPPER Trailer

Shudder, the horror streaming service, has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated fifth season of their popular slasher-inspired horror anthology series, Slasher: Ripper. This new installment in the franchise takes viewers back to the late 19th century and is set in a city on the brink of social upheaval.

The series stars Eric McCormack, best known for his role in the hit sitcom “Will & Grace,” as Basil Garvey, a ruthless tycoon who oversees a city on the cusp of a new century. Despite his success, Garvey has enemies and is eventually targeted by a mysterious killer known as “The Widow.”

Unlike the infamous Jack the Ripper, who targeted the poor and downtrodden, The Widow is on a mission to take down the wealthy and powerful of the city. The only person standing in her way is the newly promoted detective Kenneth Rijkers, whose unshakable belief in justice may be tested as he attempts to track down The Widow and put an end to her reign of terror.

Slasher: Ripper promises to be a thrilling and suspenseful addition to the series, with plenty of scares and twists to keep fans on the edge of their seats. The first two episodes of the new season will premiere exclusively on Shudder and AMC+ on April 6th, with subsequent episodes released weekly.
