The Simpsons bid a final goodbye to Bart’s fourth grade teacher Edna Krabappel on Sunday’s episode. She was part of Simpsons family for a very long time and her relationship with Ned Flanders warmth the hearts of many.
Krabappel was retired from the show after Marcia Wallace, who voiced the character, died of complications from pneumonia in October.
Immediately before the credits rolled on Sunday’s episode, viewers saw Krabappel and her husband Ned Flanders slow-dancing briefly… until it becomes clear it’s just a dream Flanders was having after falling asleep in his easy chair.
“Sure do miss that laugh,” Flanders says, as he glances at a framed picture of Krabappel. Sad Really.. R.I.P. Marcia Wallace.
