Skull Island Got Tom Hiddleston

Legendary announced its plans to make a feature film based on the origins of King Kong during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Written by Max Borenstein has now officially announced a director in The Kings of Summer‘s Jordan Vogt-Roberts and a star in Tom Hiddleston.

Previous works have touched on the island, but staying on and exploring the mysterious and dangerous place is the goal of the new film, which will offer a style and scope that parallels other Legendary productions.

Universal Pictures will distribute the film on November 4, 2016.
