The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will be the amazing part of The Hobbit trilogy and the only reason for us will be the Smaug the dragon so it has to be impressive so real or not but we like this version of Smaug!
At the very end of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Peter Jackson teased our first look at Smaug the Dragon. This sculpture that was recently erected in the foyer of a cinema in Wellington New Zealand could very well be our first full look at the dragon that we will see in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
Apparently, this space is usually reserved for the statue placement of characters from the films of Jackson, such as TinTin, Gandalf, Gollum, etc. Here’s a note from The One Ring:
So, we went to the new Star Trek movie last night at Roxy Cinema here in Miramar, Wellington and when we came out a statue was sitting in the middle of the foyer which either we missed or was put there during the movie. Not saying it’s Smaug or anything, but I took a picture for you to make your own mind up about it! The statue placement is usually reserved for statues of characters from PJ films.
