The SolarHug Bracelet provides both a backup battery together with a USB drive that is capable of providing up to 128 GB of storage.
The SolarHug Bracelet project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise £70,000 in pledges to make the jump from concept to production.
“What makes it special is a built-in flexible solar panel that allows the device to produce its own energy. In fact, it is kind of ‘private power plant’ right on your wrist, close to the devices that you can use and charge in the same moment.
The surface of the gadget is large enough to charge the bracelet even if you can not see the sun itself. You can even charge it indoors if the light is strong enough. Besides that, if exposed to the Sun it charges continuously. SolarHug is not covered by solar panel as you knew it before. Our solar panel is almost indestructible and flexible.”
