Jono Williams, a plastics engineer and graphic designer by day, wanted to build an elevated room with a view, but wasn’t convinced that a standard treehouse would be more like his taste. So instead he built his own tree-like structure, one that could sit virtually anywhere in the world and trees become optional. It not just pretty face, it has all the things a modern men wants. Beer and more cold beer.

His creation, appropriately dubbed “The Skysphere,” is a circular single room accessible by a ladder in its base. The structure is located in Linton, New Zealand, and provides its guests with endless views of the surrounding countryside. Besides the sleek design and pretty views, the room is completely powered by solar panels, which is necessary for all of its gadgets.

Along with The Skysphere’s high-speed Internet and colored mood lighting, it also has a wireless sound system, a refrigerated beer dispenser and fingerprint entry, all of which are controlled with a smartphone app, which actually talks to you once you command it to do something.

It seems as if the only thing that the Skysphere doesn’t have is a functioning bathroom. However, the area looks pretty secluded so there’s always the outdoors.
