Star Wars: Episode VII Will Shoot in Abu Dhabi

The Hollywood Reporter, Reports that four weeks are now being targeted in Abu Dhabi. It is unclear whether or not this would replace plans to film in Morocco or if both locations will be utilized. There will be alot of desert shots in the movie apparently.

Script by Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan, Star Wars: Episode VII will be set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi and will follow a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew and Harrison Ford are all heavily rumored to appear as older incarnations of their beloved characters from the original Star Wars trilogy, while names like Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o and John Boyega are believed to be among the project’s fresh faces. Only R2-D2 is confirmed so far by Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm.
