Netflix revealed the final trailer for director Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming new movie project The Laundromat. The movie has an awesome cast that includes Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman, Antonio Banderas, Sharon Stone, Robert Patrick, David Schwimmer, and Jeffrey Wright.
The movie is a satire that uncovers a global conspiracy including the elite and how they keep the strength and money that they have received. It’s based on Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jake Bernstein‘s book, Secrecy World: Inside the Panama Papers Investigation of Illicit Money Networks and the Global Elite.
The movie tells the story of a widow (Streep) as she examines insurance fraud, “chasing leads to a pair of Panama City law partners (Oldman and Banderas) exploiting the world’s financial system.”
Soderbergh developed the movie with screenwriter Scott Z. Burns and they’ve worked on some projects together before like Contagion and Side Effects.
The movie will stream on Netflix today, October 18th.
