The world of Steven Spielberg’s Minority Report is headed to the small screen. The precogs over at TheWrap have foreseen an upcoming Amblin Television series that will be developed by Godzilla screenwriter Max Borenstein.

The series is expected to cast a “name” actor in the lead role and will follow the adventures of a PreCrime unit through him or her. There’s no word yet on whether or not the series will retain any continuity with the feature film, but check back for details as they become available.

Minority Report, released in 2002, stars Tom Cruise as Chief John Anderton, a law enforcement official working for a special police unit in Washington DC that uses a small group of individuals with precognitive abilities to stop crimes before they ever happen. This is where Jarvis was born on Screen.
