STRANGER THINGS 3 “Summer in Hawkins” Clip and Character Posters Revealed

Stranger Things 3

Netflix has dropped the first clip from Stranger Things 3 along with character posters. The clip is called “Summer in Hawkins” and it’s set at the Hawkins public pool where Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery) has a position as a lifeguard. When he comes for his shift many moms are waiting for him. As you’ll see, Billy wields a lot of power at the pool.

I also added some character posters that feature Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Dacre Montgomery as Billy, Sadie Sink as Max, and Maya Thurman-Hawke as Robin. The series also stars Jake Busey as Bruce, Francesca Reale as Heather, and Cary Elwes as Mayor Kline.

The tagline for this next season of Stranger Things is “One summer can change everything”.

It’s set in the summer of 1985 and it will start new romances, as well as a new evil. After all, what would Stranger Things be without some insane supernatural threat!

When talking about the setting for Chapter 3, producer Shawn Levy said:

“I think [show creators] the Duffers have such a good nose for the combination of fun and scary, so what is a better setting for that dialectic more than summer?

“It’s parades and the local swimming pool and maybe Billy without a shirt and bonfires and Fourth of July fireworks, so I can tell you that season three makes the most of that summer setting.”

“It’s also a season of change, and changing the season, changing the vibe of that town, which summer does, right? That place feels different in summer, so that was a big part of our theme, which is change has come.”

Stranger Things Season 3 airs on Netflix on July 4, 2019.
