Stunning Montage Explores The Way Colors Drive Emotions in Movies

Different colors represent different emotions when you’re watching movies and even in real life too, I saw a documentary recently that restaurants are also conducting the same experiments with the mood lightning to increase the flavor of the wine and food appreciation from the the patrons, Lilly Mtz-Seara’s slick video montage is a nice examination of that idea condensed down into less than four minutes. Obviously this isn’t a strict coding of what these colors mean in films across the board because filmmakers can play with color however they choose, but it’s a nice, condensed look at the shortcut of what these colors generally mean in terms of cinematic language.
