The CW has unveiled a brilliant new trailer for DC’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event series ahead of the release. This trailer is filled with exciting new footage! Some of that footage adds Kevin Conroy’s Kingdom Come Batman, Brandon Routh’s Kingdom Come Superman, and a scene that shows the death of Superman.
The shot of Superman’s death features Elizabeth Tulloch‘s Lois Lane mourning the loss of Superman and the visual is a direct callback to Superman #75, “The Death of Superman,” by Dan Jurgens and Brett Breeding. Oh, and Wil Wheaton also shows up in the trailer.
Crisis on Infinite Earths is based on Marv Wolfman and George Pérez’s 12-issue limited comic series and the 5-episode crossover follows the heroic figures from Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman, as they join forces to fight and protect the multiverse from the villainous Anti-Monitor.
Crisis on Infinite Earths begins with Supergirl this Sunday on December 8th, followed by Batwoman on December 9th, The Flash on December 10th and ends with an Arrow/Legends of Tomorrow doubleheader on January 14th, 2020.
