Superman’s Debut Comic Sold For $3.2 million

This first comic which contains Superman’s debut appearance has sold for $3.2 million at auction, taking the record for the most expensive comic sold to date by over $1 million. The comic, Action Comics #1, received a 9 out of 10 quality rating from the Certified Guaranty Company, and it’s believed to be one of potentially just 50 other unrestored copies still in existence, with very few of such high quality. The issue was first sold for 10 cents in 1938.
