SUPERNATURAL and SCOOBY-DOO Crossover Episode First Look is Here!

SUPERNATURAL and SCOOBY-DOO Crossover

I am a huge fan of Supernatural since its first aired and I am very excited for this upcoming crossover with Scooby-Doo and we have a first look for you today and it this will surely get you even more excited. Thanks to EW, we also have some details on what the episode will entail.

After a case-of-the-week puts Dean in a wrestling match with the live plushy — not the show’s first — a grateful pawnshop owner offers the guys a free TV to say thanks. Sam’s not too keen on the idea, but Dean’s never one to turn down a gift. So, he takes the TV back to the bunker to create his “Dean Cave.” Only, everything’s not as it seems with the present. Spoiler: The boys are sucked into a Scooby-Doo cartoon.

Co-showrunner Robert Singer goes on to reveal:

“Once they get over their amazement at being in the cartoon, two things happen. They say, ’We’ve been in a situation like this before with the Trickster and I think we’re supposed to play this out.’ And then they realize they’re in a Scooby-Doo cartoon, which makes Dean incredibly excited because Scooby-Doo was his favorite cartoon growing up.”

It’s revealed that Dean’s Scooby fandom and information will come in handy in the episode as he realizes that the episode they’re in is a 1970 episode called “A Night of Fright Is No Delight”. It obviously won’t play out the same way Co-showrunner Andrew Dabb goes on to say:

“It gets pretty dark. There are things you wouldn’t see in a regular Scooby-Doo cartoon. They walk into an old episode of Scooby-Doo. But it may end up being a new episode of Supernatural.”

Dabb then explains that Dean has some strong opinions about the Scooby-Doo characters, saying:

“Dean came of age in a time before the internet when Daphne wasn’t so bad. Dean has very strong opinions on all the Scooby characters, but especially Daphne and Fred.”

“Scoobynatural” airs on Thursday, March 29th on the CW.
