Takashi Miike has a new film coming out called Blade of the Immortal (3 Assassins, Audition, Yakuza Apocalypse). The supernatural martial arts thriller centers on an immortal swordsman who will not be able to lift his curse of everlasting life until he kills 1000 evildoers with the cut of his steel.
Blade of the Immortal is set to open in Japan on April 29, 2017, date for the release in the U.S. is not revealed yet.
