Blumhouse has unleashed a trailer for a new suspense thriller called Soft & Quiet and it looks really amazing! The trailer doesn’t give away many story details, but the trailer starts out soft and quiet and then gets into some kind of mad insanity after someone is killed.
Playing out in real time, SOFT & QUIET is a runaway train that follows a single afternoon in the life of an elementary school teacher, Emily, who organizes an inaugural club meeting of like-minded women. When they all decide to move the meeting to Emily’s house to keep the wine flowing, they stop at the local store to pick up refreshments. At the store, an altercation breaks out between a woman from Emily’s past and the group, leading to a volatile chain of events.
The movie was written and directed by Beth de Araújo, who said, “I don’t want to provide you relief. You’re not watching monsters nor ‘those racists over there. You’re watching human beings do monstrous things; that’s what makes us so dangerous. Maybe that monster, the potential monster, and the concept of white supremacy live in you and in all of us.”
The cast includes Stefanie Estes, Olivia Luccardi, Eleanore Pienta, Dana Millican, Melissa Paulo, Jon Beavers, and Cissy Ly.
Soft & Quiet will be released on November 4th.
