Danny Boyle‘s long awaited Trainspotting sequel, T2: Trainspotting got a new trailer and it is fantastic. The trailer is filled with new footage and it looks like a solid movie with a lot of twists, If you are hoping for a great movie, I think it will be.
First Trainspotting film was simply brilliant and every time I watch it with my mates its always great fun. Regardless of how dark and depressing it was, there were still life lessons to be learned from it. This sequel seems like it’s going to have a more positive uplifting tone, though, as Renton comes back clean of heroin, and he wants to help his friend Spud get clean and find purpose. Don’t think this will not contain the same level of madness like the original because it will have its insane moments.
Ewan McGregor returns to the role of Renton, Ewen Bremner as Spud, Jonny Lee Miller as Sick Boy, and Robert Carlyle as Begbie. The rest of the cast features many other familiar faces such is Kelly Macdonald, author Irvine Welsh, Simon Weir, and Karl Argue.
First there was an opportunity……then there was a betrayal.
Twenty years have gone by.
Much has changed but just as much remains the same.
Mark Renton (McGregor) returns to the only place he can ever call home.
They are waiting for him: Spud (Bremner), Sick Boy (Miller), and Begbie (Carlyle).
Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.
T2: Trainspotting will be released on March 17th, 2017.
