Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark

We got a new trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s film adaptation of the classic horror book series, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, and it comes with all sorts of scares.

The movie looks brilliant. the setting, the tone, the visual designs of the creatures its all good… it all very much feels like the creepy stories we all familiar with.

It’s was directed by André Øvredal, who is known for making The Autopsy of Jane Doe and Trollhunters.

It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind…but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time—stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home.

The cast of the film includes Zoe CollettiMichael Garza (Wayward Pines), Austin Abrams (Brad’s Status), Gabriel Rush (Moonrise Kingdom), Austin Zajur (Brad’s Status), and Natalie Ganzhorn (Make it Pop).

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark will hit theaters on August 9th.
