That’s How New York City Subway Track Repair Workers Save Themselves From Trains

New York City, resident Josh Gordon watch the group of subway workers repairing a track. Gordon was recording them at the time when workers received notice that a train was coming into the station. One by one, the men took their places in the recessed areas in the tiled wall opposite the platform. New Yorkers have seen those openings but never really knew what purpose they actually served.
