The series is based on the comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and it was created by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke.
The Boys offers an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as famous as celebrities, as powerful as politicians, and as revered as gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s powerless against the super powerful as The Boys start on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the supergroup known as “The Seven.” The show keeps most of the comics’ boundary-pushing violence and sexuality while investigating the dark side of superhero celebrity and fame.
The series stars Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, and Karl Urban, along with Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Nathan Mitchell, Claudia Doumit, Colby Minifie.
Season 3 included Jensen Ackles as the infamous Soldier Boy, Katia Winter as Little Nina, Miles Gaston Villaneuva as Supersonic, Sean Patrick Flanery as Gunpowder, Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk, and Laurie Holden as Crimson Countess.
