Netflix has unveiled the full trailer for the final season of Orange is the New Black. It looks like it’s going to give a heavy and sentimental ending.
Orange is the New Black is Netflix’s longest-running and most-awarded series. I love the show over the course of its run, but its time for this story to come to a close. This has been a fabulous show to watch and I’m assuming that it ends on a high note.
The series revolves around Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), a public relations executive with a career and a fiance when her past suddenly catches up to her. “In her mid-30s she is sentenced to spend time in a minimum-security women’s prison in Connecticut for her association with a dope runner 10 years earlier. Forced to trade power suits for prison orange, Chapman makes her way through the corrections system and adjusts to life behind bars, making friends with the many eccentric, unusual and unexpected people she meets.”
In this final season, “the ladies of Litchfield will have to come to terms with the fact that prison has changed them forever. Piper struggles with life on the outside, while Max, as corrupt and unjust as ever, goes on without her on the inside. Taystee’s friendship with Cindy still hangs in the balance as her life sentence looms, while Gloria and her kitchen staff are confronted by the harsh realities of Polycon’s newest profit stream.”
Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison, which is about the experiences she had while serving time at FCI Danbury, a minimum-security federal prison.
Orange is the New Black Season 7 airs on July 26th.
