Today we have a grand Hinoki forest planting by Bonsai master Masahiko Kimura. This wonderful Bonsai was newly sold at the 38th annual Nippon Bonsai Taikan Exhibition for ¥1,800,000 which is equal to approximately US$15,800.
Born in Ōmiya-ku, Saitama, Japan on March 31, 1940, Kimura is internationally regarded as a wizard and pioneer in the world of Bonsai. Many of his students and apprentices have also gone on to become masters in their own line of work.
