The Last of Us Season 1 has been a highly anticipated television series for fans of the original video game, and the tension is at an all-time high as the finale approaches. Episode 8 left viewers on the edge of their seats, with many questions left unanswered. However, the trailer for the finale gives us a glimpse of what’s to come, and it looks like we’re in for a wild ride.
One thing that’s immediately clear from the trailer is that Joel and Ellie are in danger. Shots of them being ambushed by a grenade and Joel firing his rifle down a corridor suggest that they’re in the middle of a dangerous situation. Fans of the video game will know that danger is never far away in the post-apocalyptic world of The Last of Us, and it seems that the television series is following suit.
The trailer also introduces a pregnant woman, played by Ashley Johnson (the original actor for Ellie in the games), who is attacked by an Infected. This adds another layer of tension and danger to the already perilous world of The Last of Us. Will Joel and Ellie be able to protect this woman and her unborn child? Or will they too fall victim to the Infected?
As the season comes to a close, viewers will undoubtedly be left wanting more. The Last of Us has already been renewed for a second season, so we can expect to see more of Joel and Ellie’s journey in the future. For now, though, we’ll have to tune in to the season finale to see how their story concludes.
For those who haven’t yet watched the series, The Last of Us is available to stream on HBO Max. New episodes air every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on HBO, so be sure to catch up before the finale airs. Get ready for a thrilling, intense, and emotional ride.
