Warner Bros. has released the first full trailer for The Matrix: Resurrections! This week the studio started releasing pieces of teaser footage from the movie on the official website whatisthematrix.com. Well, this amazingly badass new trailer is going to give you your first look at the sci-fi movie and the insane story that it’s going to tell.
In this new chapter of the story, Thomas Anderson, a.k.a. Neo, is once again caught in the Matrix and he seems to have no memory of anything that occurred to him in his early journey that we saw in the original trilogy. But, as the trailer extends his mind starts to open up, he starts to remember, and things start to escalate to complete and utter brilliance! It’s going to be really exciting to see how this movie plays out, but there’s clearly more than meets the eye here!
The movie stars Keanu Reeves as Neo, Carrie Ann-Moss as Trinity, Jada Pinkett-Smith as Niobe, Daniel Bernhardt as Agent Johnson, and Lambert Wilson as The Merovingian. Some of the other franchise newcomers include Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as a young Morpheus, Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra, Christina Ricci, and Jonathan Groff.
I can’t wait to see the kind of awesomeness that comes from this movie and kicks audiences in the face! Lana Wachowski wrote and directed the movie, and it’s set to come out later this year on December 22, 2021!
