The Minions Language In ‘Despicable Me,’ Explained


Since 2010, the Despicable Me movies have been delighting fans with Minions, those little yellow henchmen to the villainous Gru. Minions aren’t just loveable, they also speak in a bizarre nonsensical-sounding language. But “Minionese” is actually a complicated and deliberate dialect.
