CBS has unveiled the release date for The Silence of the Lambs sequel series Clarice, and today we got a new promo that gives us our first look at the series. The series features Rebecca Breeds in the title role of Clarice Starling, and the series will air on Thursday, February 11th at 10-11 PM ET/PT.
Clarice is set after the events of The Silence of the Lambs and it is set in 1993, it will take “a deep dive into the untold personal story of Clarice Starling (Breeds), as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington, D.C.”
Brilliant and vulnerable, Clarice graduated Magna from UVA with a double major in psych and criminology. Her bravery gives her an inner light that draws monsters and madmen to her. Her complex psychological makeup comes from a challenging childhood, and her drive comes from her need to escape the burden of family secrets that have haunted her throughout her life.
I’m a huge fan of the franchise and disturbing dark stories and characters, and I’m super excited about the new show and can’t wait to see Clarice’s story continue after her nightmarish encounter with Hannibal Lector and Buffalo Bill.
